DIRECTOR’S NOTE

“Broken Vein” is a modern urban drama, where tragic characters navigate a grey world, and every choice comes at a devastating cost. An ordinary story unfolds, revealing the multifaceted nature of the individual as it takes an unexpected and harrowing turn, embodying one of humanity’s most profound nightmares. Rooted in the depths of the great tradition of ancient Greek drama, this film bridges the past and present to reimagine timeless concepts: Ethos, Hubris, Destiny, Shame, Immodesty, and the duality of Intentional and Unintentional Crime. At the heart of it all lies an unchanging truth—the lonely, tragic essence of man, a poignant reminder of our shared fate at the end of life’s frenetic journey.
