Synopsis

Adapted from Alexandros Papadiamantis’ classic novel, The Murderess follows Hadoula, an aging woman on a remote Aegean island who comes to believe that death is a mercy for the island’s baby girls. A haunting period drama about poverty, fate and the price of conscience.
